Suspect Arrested in Connection to 2015 Homicide

On February 21, 2015, Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 4000 block of Centennial Boulevard where they discovered a victim with a gunshot wound inside a residence. The victim later succumbed to his injuries, prompting the response from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
“The detectives that worked this case strived to bring closure to the family of the victim, and I couldn’t be more proud,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “No matter how old the case, we will bring those responsible to justice.”
Since 2015, detectives learned that the suspects entered the residence with the intention of robbing the victim. When confronted by the suspects, the victim was uncooperative and was fatally shot.
Based on witness statements, detectives identified Tiphanie Dawn Sager (09/15/92) as the suspect who organized the robbery.
On May 15, 2020, Sager was booked into the Lee County jail for Second Degree Murder.
