On Thursday, August 22, 2019, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Special Investigations Division, Gang Unit, Intelligence Unit and Field Support Unit concluded a months-long undercover investigation into career criminal, Antwan Rakeem Thomas (DOB 11/13/90) aka "Tick". Antwan Thomas is a known violent offender with a very lengthy criminal history including multiple charges of robbery with a weapon, aggravated battery and assault, narcotics sales and resisting arrest.
Detectives executed a search warrant at his residence located at 2855 Winkler Avenue #108 in Fort Myers. Inside the apartment, detectives discovered 11.59 grams of Fentanyl, 13.85 grams of Crack Cocaine, 8.3 grams of Cocaine, 5.69 grams of Oxycodone, 2.36 grams of MDMA, and 2.3 grams of Marijuana.
Along with the narcotics, detectives found five (5) firearms, including one which was discovered to have been stolen.
Antwan Rakeem Thomas was charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl, Cocaine Possession, Selling Synthetic Narcotics, Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription, Marijuana Possession, and Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
"Another one bites the dust," stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. "I will not tolerate people pushing poison on our streets. If you deal drugs in Lee County, I have a jail cell waiting for you”.
