On August 2nd, 2019, Tony Wilson, Jr. of Lehigh Acres pled guilty in Federal Court to multiple drug related charges. Wilson is facing the possibility of life in prison for his involvement in the distribution of many controlled substances to include cocaine, fentanyl, and heroin.

Wilson was the leader of a large-scale drug ring operating in the Suncoast Estates area of Lee County between 2013 and 2018. During this investigation, detectives worked in an undercover capacity conducting several drug purchases from many homes involved in drug activity. Detectives ultimately seized tens of thousands of dollars in cash, many firearms, and large quantities of illegal narcotics.   

“Eliminating dangerous, illegal drugs in Lee County remains one of my top priorities. I am so proud of our Narcotics Unit for their continuous hard work in cases like this one.” Stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “The success of this case is a direct result of ATF and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office working together to get drugs, thugs and guns off our streets.”
