Homicide Investigation

On Monday, June 28, 2021, at approximately 6:00 PM, deputies responded to a shooting on Sunrise Boulevard and Genoa Avenue South in Lehigh Acres.
When deputies arrived on scene they located two male victims, one of which was deceased and another with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The injured victim was later transported to Lee Memorial Hospital.
Due to the nature of the incident, our Major Crimes Unit began investigating.
Throughout our detective’s investigation, they discovered this incident began as road rage and later turned into a homicide.
At this time, there is no threat to the public as this is an isolated incident.
Detectives are currently searching for the vehicle, and two suspects, that were involved in the homicide. The SWFL Crime Stoppers released a bulletin with details regarding the vehicle as well as the driver, and we need your assistance in locating them.
The vehicle is a 2010-2015 four door black Hyundai that frequents the Lehigh Acres area. It is possible the vehicle has front-end and gunfire damage. The driver is described as a heavyset white female with freckles and blonde hair. She is approximately 5’4 and believed to be in her 30’s. The passenger is a black male with dreads and a patchy beard. He has a thin build, approximately 6’0, and 25-30 years old.
