Sexual Battery Suspect Arrested

On January 19, 2019, the Lee County Sheriff's Office responded to a local residence in reference to a past occurred sexual battery. Due to the nature of the incident, Special Victims Unit detectives responded to assume the investigation.
The investigation revealed that Ramon Cortez-Cisneros (DOB 03/02/80) had sexually battered two juveniles for approximately eight (8) years. Additionally, detectives learned that Cortez-Cisneros was in the United States illegally and U.S. Border Patrol was present at the time of his arrest.
As a result of the investigation, detectives charged Ramon Cortez-Cisneros with multiple counts of Capital Sexual Battery along with Lewd and Lascivious Behavior.
The investigation remains active.
