Gas Station Clerk makes False Report; Working in Unison with Robbery Suspect

Just after midnight on November 21st, 2018, Lee County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to a just occurred robbery at the Murphy’s Gas Station located on Pine Island Road in North Fort Myers.

Deputies quickly converged on the gas station making contact with the cashier, Cheyenne Williams (DOB 12/11/93) who stated that a male wearing all dark clothes approached her demanding cigarette cartons, scratch off tickets and cash. An ensuing K9 track led deputies to the location of Keith Cooper (DOB 09/02/96) and 2 cartons of Newport cigarettes.

Major Crimes Detectives assumed the investigation and subsequent questioning of Williams gave detectives the impression that Williams might be involved in the robbery.

Based on the investigation in its entirety, probable cause was established to charge Cheyenne Williams and Keith Cooper for the Robbery of the business without a Weapon.
