Notice of Roads Used for Marathon Sunday, November 10

The inaugural Ted Todd Insurance Fort Myers Beach Marathon is scheduled for Sunday November 10, 2013. This event will have approximately 1,500 runners competing. The following roads will be used during portions of the race;

  • San Carlos Blvd. – 7:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
  • Summerlin Square Road -7:15 a.m.- 12:45 p.m.
  • Summerlin (West of Gladiolus) - 7:15 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.
  • Gladiolus (To Lakes Regional Park) - 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
  • Summerlin (Gladiolus- Cypress Lake Dr.) - 7:45 a.m.- 11:45 a.m.

The Matanzas Bridge will be closed from 6:50 a.m.- 7:20 a.m. at the start of the race and then reopen. Drivers should proceed with caution when departing the beach since runners will be in a coned lane adjacent to traffic, travelling east (off island). Expect delays in the early morning to noon in this area.
