Identity Sought of Brazen Robbers at Lehigh Acres Grocery

On October 29, 2013 at approximately 7:47 pm, deputies responded to an armed robbery at G.G.'s Grocery located at 322 Gunnery Road in Lehigh Acres.

Due to the nature of the crime, detectives with the Robbery Unit have assumed the investigation.

Detectives discovered two male suspects entered the store with their faces covered. One male was armed with a handgun and the second suspect armed with a pistol grip shotgun. Once inside the grocery, the suspects demanded money from the on-duty clerk to include a patron who was inside the store. The suspects were given an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot behind the store.

The investigation revealed two additional victims who reported that they were each confronted in the parking area and threatened with firearms prior to the suspects entering the store. They were each told to leave the property by the suspects.

Suspect one is described as a black male approximately 5'5", wearing a mask, black shirt and maroon sweat pants. The second suspect is described at a black male approximately 6'0", wearing a mask, and all black clothing.

 The investigation is on going at this time.
