Man Arrested For Human Trafficking

On October 25, 2013, at approximately 8:30 am, deputies from the Lee County Sheriff's Office were called to a complaint at the Travel Lodge located at 13661 Indian Paint Lane in Fort Myers.

Due to the nature of the incident Special Victims Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded and assumed the investigation.

Detectives have learned the suspect is responsible for forcing a female victim to engage in prostitution by advertising services on-line. Investigators discovered the victim has attempted to escape on several occasions unsuccessfully. After each attempt she has been met with violence and in some cases transported out of state and forced to engage in sex related acts against her will.

The suspect identified as Seab Williams, was arrested and charged with the following human trafficking related charges:

  1. Public Order Crime – Forced Labor or Services by Human Trafficking
  2. Renting a space to be used for Prostitution’
  3. Deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution
  4. Transporting a person to a place for the purpose of prostitution
  5. Using coercion for commercial sexual activity by transporting the individual into the State

Williams, Saeb Nathanial (DOB 11-23-1979), 9402 Bauerlein, Houston, Texas.

The victim’s name is being withheld due to the nature of the crime.

As part of an on going investigation detectives are working to identify jurisdictions and locations out of state associated with this crime.
