Lee County sheriff's detectives have made an arrest in the June 29th robbery of the 7-Eleven located on Grand Oak Shoppes Boulevard in Estero. Fady Saweres, DOB 5-19-84, of 21580 Windham Run, is charged with Robbery - No Firearm or Weapon; Wearing a Mask in the commission of a Felony and Resisting Arrest
Detectives canvassed the neighborhood where the crime occurred and conducted interviews. Information obtained during the interviews and from store surveillance video led them to develop Saweres as the suspect in the case. Saweres was located and arrested on July 5th.
Saweres is a career criminal and currently sits in the Lee County Jail with a $250,000 bond.

On Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 12:40 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call about a robbery. The incident occurred at the 7-Eleven, 20300 Grande Oak Shoppes Boulevard, Estero, Florida. Deputies, the Sheriff's Office helicopter and a K-9 responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, deputies confirmed a single white or Hispanic male entered the store, jumped the counter and demanded cash from the clerk. The employee complied and was not injured during the robbery. The suspect grabbed a small amount of cash and ran out of the store.
Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Robbery Unit of the Sheriff's Office have been assigned to investigate. The unidentified suspect was described as wearing a dark hoodie, blue jean pants, clear lensed glasses with something covering his face. The investigation continues.
