Traffic Fatality in Bonita Springs

On Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 7:14 am, the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call about a two-vehicle crash. The incident occurred at Old 41 and Bonita Road, Bonita Springs, Florida. Deputies responded to the scene.

Upon arrival, a 1989 Suzuki GSXR motorcycle crashed into a Ford 2000 F-350 work truck. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to North Collier Hospital where he was pronounced deceased as result of the crash.
Due to the nature of the incident, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit were assigned to continue the investigation.

Preliminary information reveals the driver, 26-year-old Nicolas Ramos-Torres (DOB 02/11/1987) of 10651 Dean Street, Bonita Springs, was travelling north bound on Old U.S. 41 and lost control of the motorcycle after passing another motorist. Ramos-Torres subsequently collided into the side of the Ford Truck. 

No other vehicles or persons are believed to have been involved.
