Community Event to Address Active Shooter & Mass Casualty Events

If you unexpectedly found yourself in the chaos of an active shooter or mass casualty event, would you know what to do to survive and assist the injured around you? Have you prepared yourself to make life-saving decisions that require immediate action to either run, hide or fight?

It is critical that each one of us has a plan in place should the unthinkable happen.

With this in mind, you are invited to join the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Lee County Department of Public Safety, and the Lee County Trauma District for a compelling presentation on real world responses that anyone can do if ever confronted with an active shooter situation or mass casualty event. Law enforcement experts and public safety officials will address “What if?” scenarios, provide information to help you develop a plan, and teach you how to assist others in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.  In addition, a question and answer panel session with sheriff’s representatives, EMS personnel, and Lee Health Trauma will conclude the event.
